International and National Best Performances in Brugg
Dear Runners,
With great joy we look back on the 17th Laufwochenende Brugg from October 25 to 27. A total of 132 runners from 19 nations took to the start line. The weather turned out to be friendlier than expected, which further lifted the mood.
Right from the start, there was an great atmosphere that inspired not only the participants but also the spectators and helpers, leading to outstanding athletic performances. Sandra Brown garnered international attention by breaking the world best performances for100 miles! Daniela Tarnutzer achieved an impressive new Swiss best performance of 252.822 kilometers in 24 hours, narrowly missing the Swiss men’s record set by Hans-Peter Brönnimann in 1996 by just 5 kilometers!
We were also delighted with our new lighting system, which, thanks to the support of our sponsors IBB and Elektro Finsterwald Villigen, provided perfect conditions on the course throughout the night.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. Whether as a runner, helper, or spectator – together we created an unforgettable occasion.
For next year, we plan to hold the event a few weeks earlier and will inform you as soon as possible. Until then, we wish you health and success – and look forward to seeing you again next year!

Best regards,
Your Laufwochenende Brugg Team
